These factors include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-700de68b-19d2-41d8-bbdb-1b93c3f50767\"><li>Perceptions of regulatory constraints that limit ordering<\/li><li>Mistrust of out-of-area patients and prescribers<\/li><li>Stigma<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>Each of these challenges is addressed in this continuing education program.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of this program, you should be able to:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Explain what buprenorphine is and describe its use as a treatment option for patients with opioid use disorder.<\/li>\n<li>Discuss reasons why patients\/prescribers might prefer one buprenorphine formulation over another.<\/li>\n<li>Identify the factors that have led to an increase in buprenorphine prescriptions.<\/li><li>Identify barriers that can limit access to buprenorphine at community pharmacies and explain how to overcome these barriers.<\/li><li>Describe how to create a welcoming environment for patients with buprenorphine prescriptions for opioid use disorder<\/li><li>Identify resources that can be used to increase buprenorphine access at community pharmacies.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>Information is presented via a series of lessons.
